In our team, no one is French but our team name is “Bon Voyagers”. It is a French word that means, “Have a nice trip”. Yes, our goal is that. Having a safe and pleasant trip and to discover the hidden beauty of Korea. Our team has six members. All are international graduate students and have a tight schedule. Despite that, we come along together to start our journey in this beautiful program. Today, I will introduce my three members in detail. The rest of three are our hidden cards. You can see them throughout our activities. We plan to reveal something new and interesting to all.
First, I want to introduce myself. I am the team leader of the Bon Voyagers, and my name is Naharin Sultana Anni. Before two years ago, I came to Korea from Bangladesh with lots of dreams and hope. Fortunately, Korea did not make me disappointed. I am a big fan of Korean dramas, songs, tradition, and history. Travel is in my blood. So, whenever I get some time, take a bag and my credit card, go out to exploring a new place, a new tale. Sea attracts more than the mountain. Korea has blessed with both of two, which make it a top list destination for traveling.
I am good at communication, management, and leading. Because of these traits, I can easily intermingle with people and can feel their warmth. Korean people loved me a lot and always said, ‘아가씨 정말 착하네요 (you are really kind)’. Besides, I like photography and being a model J. If anyone needs any help, just contact me. I will try my best to solve it as a project manager of this program.
Now, moving to our second member, a Kurdish beauty named Ashna Shareff, also known as Ash. Currently, she is doing her Ph.D. thesis in the field of cultural diplomacy. Let us hear her story behind to join this program.
Ashna----------
I like to think deeply and have deep conversations with people, especially to discuss ideas like human psychology and development. Whenever inspired, I like to create art, including illustration, drawing, painting, writing poetry or blogging in a poetic way about something and/or just making something with my hands. I also enjoy working out and spending time in nature. It gives me a sense of peace and fulfillment.
I am very passionate about learning new ideas and things; I find it fascinating that there is always something new out there for me to learn. I also enjoy traveling, for me, it is a way to find answers to inner questions.
I would I am selectively extrovert and partially introvert. I enjoy meeting new people and socializing but I also find it important to have my own time to recharge.
Among our team members, there is a person from Egypt, named Elhakim Ahmed Adel. He is not only intelligent but also passionate about traveling. We are glad to get him on our team.
From Adel------
My name is Adel. I am a proud Egyptian and enthusiast in Korean culture, advocate.
I am currently studying a Doctoral Degree in Dental medicine at Yonsei University. I was very delighted to find the opportunity to contribute to spreading the mesmerizing Korean culture. Moreover, I consider this chance as a great opportunity to get in touch with Korean culture and explore different places in a way I never experienced with the added motive to document and share the experience. I always seize the chance to take photos the capture the essence of nature, architect, and human emotions.
Simplicity is the key, and when conveying a peculiar feeling to others, a picture is worth a thousand words. However, capturing the right frame is what sets them apart movie directors with the same script and entitles one of them to win the Oscar. Therefore, photography is what I consider this as my point of strength alongside being a team player. I enjoy playing soccer, hiking, and going to different beaches.
I hope all will like our story. Stay tuned with our group and activities. We will show you a new landscape through our lens. Be safe from COVID-19, and enjoy this semester with world reporters. 🙂
