The second cultural and artistic complex of Daejeon will hold a design contest from February 19 to April 29, where the national and foreign nominations of those registered in January of this year were already revealed, there will be 8 competing teams, 4 foreigners : Kengo Kuma & Associates (Japan), Renzo Piano Building Workshop (Italy), UN Studio (Netherlands) and Zaha Hadid Architects (United Kingdom); And 4 national SOA Co, Ltd. Architectural Office; The System Lab Architectural Office Co, Ltd; SKM Design Co, Ltd; and Unsaengdong Architectural Office Co, Ltd.
The city of Daejeon plans to make a presentation to citizens in May so that the review of the presented works is public, it is expected to obtain a winner for the master plan of the Daejeon park, and 4 winners of multiple adwards for the architectural design of the musical performance hall and the second museum municipal of art to be built in the original center of Daejeon.
